Node operator services for robust blockchain infrastructure

Our infrastructure team maintains 144 Ethereum validators and over 8500 Lido validators. We offer infrastructure design, deployment, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting support, enabling you to concentrate on your core business operations.

Node management and support

At Nethermind, we recognize the importance of a secure and stable infrastructure for running validator clients, node operators, and hosting private blockchains. Our Node Operator as a Service offering caters to organizations and individuals who need to operate nodes on a blockchain network. Our team can run validator nodes directly on behalf of the protocol, optimizing its benefits while mitigating risks.

With our Node Operator as a Service, your blockchain infrastructure is in capable hands. Contact us today to discover how we can help you achieve a secure and reliable blockchain infrastructure.

We actively participate in the Ethereum network’s consensus process by validating transactions and blocks, proposing new blocks, and voting on the validity of proposed blocks.

We prioritize the security and integrity of the Ethereum network by adhereing to industry best practices for operating a secure node. This includes keeping our software and operating system updated and safeguarding our private keys. We are also prepared to handle technical challenges that may arise during node operation, such as hardware failures, network outages, and other performance-impacting issues.

As responsible validators, we act in the best interests of the Ethereum network and its users. This means following the rules of the consensus protocol, behaving ethically, and maintaining transparency and accountability for our actions.

As Lido Node Operators, we participate in the Lido liquid staking solution - a decentralized protocol that allows users to earn rewards for providing security to the Ethereum blockchain. Lido plays a vital role in managing the validator registry and coordinating Ethereum's operations.

As Node Operators for Lido, we securely and reliably maintain over 10,000 validators. We operate validator nodes on behalf of the protocol and are rewarded with financial incentives. Upholding the protocol's integrity and ensuring accurate validator operations are our top priorities as professional staking providers.

StarkWare is a cutting-edge technology company dedicated to enhancing the scalability and security of Ethereum. StarkEx scaling engine supports three data availability modes: ZK-rollup, Validium and Volition. The Validium and Volition modes are supported by the Data Availability Committee (DAC), a committee that stores the full state of StarkEx to guarantee self-custody for users at all times.

The DAC allows multiple parties to store data in a highly secure and distributed manner while enabling users to access and retrieve the data as needed. It is ideal for situations requiring highly secure and redundant storage, such as financial applications.

Our technical know-how, substantial computing resources, and unwavering willingness to assist in securing data have led us to operate as DAC members. We operate seven independent committee instances and have been increasingly requested to take more responsibility.

Streamlining deployments and scaling infrastructure

One of the main strengths of our DevOps team is its emphasis on automation. It enables us to streamline our nodes’ deployment process and reduce the risk of manual errors. By utilizing automated testing and deployment tools, our team delivers dependable and consistent code, minimizing the risk of system downtime.

Our DevOps team also excels in providing scalable and flexible infrastructure solutions by taking advantage of the latest cloud technologies. By leveraging cloud-based services, we can rapidly provision and deploy resources on demand, reducing costs and improving our ability to promptly respond to changing business demands.

Service delivery tools and best practices for effective solutions

We utilize a variety of tooling to ensure that we deliver our services effectively. Here are some of the key tools we use, along with the best practices we follow.

Terraform

We use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with CI/CD to support version control for infrastructure, reusable configurations, collaboration, and automation across multiple cloud providers. This helps us to achieve improved security and maintain a high level of consistency across our infrastructure.

Docker & Containerization

We use containerization to support improved efficiency, flexibility, portability, and simplified collaboration and development. With Docker, we can optimize resources and easily manage dependencies, making it easier to deploy applications across different environments.

Kubernetes

We use Kubernetes to support improved automation, better resource utilization and reliability, and portability. It helps us to deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications in a consistent and reliable way.

Cloud Computing Service

We use cloud computing services like AWS and GCP for scalability, security, reliability, global reach, and ecosystem. This allows us to leverage the benefits of cloud computing, including automatic scaling, high availability, and global reach, to deliver our services worldwide.

Prometheus and Grafana

We use Prometheus for monitoring and alerting, and Grafana for visualizing data in dashboards. This allows us to monitor our infrastructure and services in real-time, quickly detect and respond to issues, and gain insights into our systems' performance.

CloudHSM Signer Service

We use CloudHSM Signer Service to provide an extra layer of security. The keys are stored in a secure hardware device that is specifically designed to protect against tampering and unauthorized access. With this service, we ensure our clients' data remains safe and private at all times.
